Purpose
Without vCenter server, a role(to list
VMs and mount an ISO to a VM) can be created for a specific user on a
standalone ESXi host and assign permission to the user.
Resolution
1. Login to Host UI via root credentials
2. Navigate to Manage > Security & Users > Roles > Add Role
3. Below are the screenshots to add a role with the required privileges
Note: You would be able to mount an ISO through VMRC by the following settings.
